The organic food has been very common for people nowadays. However, the case of bovine spongiform encephalitis or BE that infected cattle had led to a debate concerning the organic food spread on the market. The animal husbandry, vegetable, and grain production in most industrialized countries are involving the massive use of fertilizers, fungicides, pesticides, and also scientific manipulation of many species and you surely know the impact to human health.

Basically, organic food, such as organic cattle graze on natural meadows, poultry that are raised out-of-doors and fed with organic feed, are tasted better and has firmer texture. The organic foods also have blemishes, smaller than those that are not raised organically, and also imperfection. If you observe carefully, the ‘industrial’ scale products are mostly bigger than normal and less expensive than the organic. These are influenced by the scientific interbreeding, genetic manipulation, and higher yields.

In general speaking, organic foods have better taste than the ‘industrial’ species. For example, the organically grown cattle meat has more natural taste as you chew it, especially the cattle that are not fed partially with grain. Also, the organic beef are not only well-tasted but also giving you valuable omega3 fats.

It is stated that feeding the cattle or other food animals with ground animal parts is unhealthy and against the law. Therefore, the ‘industrial’ poultry production is assumed as a scandal but quite accepted in most countries because producers can market the products for less and export them to many countries cheaply.

Furthermore, the industrial scale operations also include fish and shrimp. The countries with largest farmed salmon in the world are USA, Canada, and Chile. In fact, the farmed salmons live in water that is full of their own feces and it may create disease if they are not inoculated periodically. Also, the farmed salmon should be fed with industrial feeds consisting of small oily fish, carrots, and other needed ingredients. However, there is another shocking fact that farmed salmon are believed to have unacceptably high toxins but there is no exact proof shows this to be true. There is one obvious part that farmed salmon has softer in texture, tastes less intense than wild salmon.

In addition, there are farmed shrimps as well. Normally, the shrimp will grow faster in warm water than in cold, but the taste and texture are more desired. Similarly, farmed catfish are smelled and tasted better than the natural catfish that is tasted and smelled muddy. Well, all in all the fish farming is really filling the people’s demands, on the other hand the value remains questionable. Moreover, people that eat more ‘industrial’ foods have the possibility to suffer from obesity. Therefore, you should learn the whole information about the industrial food production you consume.
