Human body gets the most nutrition, vitamin, and other important supplements from foods. Healthy foods will as well keep your body away from diseases while protecting the overall condition. In selecting menu, you should be very careful since many foods are produced with unhealthy ingredients which bring danger to your body.

You have to learn that eating regularly helps your body to replace the lost energy from daily routines. Taking the meal is not only making you content, you also need to think about the right selection foods that provide sufficient nutrition so you can get two advantages at once.

Vegetables are the great source of mineral and vitamin and they are available around you. From many selections of foods, each of them supplies particular amount of mineral, vitamin and nutrition. However, there are three kinds of vegetables that unfortunately don’t provide adequate nutrition that you should consume it in needed amount only.

Among many vegetables that don’t have enough content of nutrition is celery. In every 20 cm of celery only contains 6 calories, calcium, vitamin C, and vitamin K. So, to obtain enough nutrition from celery, you can add more celeries in your menu or add one carrot to maximize the nutrition supply.

Cabbage and cauliflower are vegetables that used in many cooking. Even many people love to eat them raw because of the fresh sensation they bring into their mouth. Both cabbage and cauliflower included into vegetables with poor nutrition. For healthier choice, you can pick lettuce that carries high beta carotene compared to cauliflower. Also, lettuce strengthens your skin and eye health.

The last vegetable that lack of nutrition is cucumber. Cucumber has a very low calorie, for instance in one bowl of cucumber slices only contain 16 calories with a very minimum nutrition. Furthermore, cucumber is also lack of potassium, magnesium, mangan, and vitamin C.  There is only 5% of nutrition. Thus, to achieve the adequate amount of nutrition, you can accompany the cucumber with spinach. Spinach is believed to supply high amount of zinc, beta carotene, and fiber.

Although there are vegetables with poor content of nutrition, doesn’t mean that you should avoid them or not consume them at all. You can use these vegetables as additions for your delicious dishes or to enrich the taste. So, keep giving more choices of vegetables for your daily meals, especially those with high nutrition value. Vegetables keep both your health and performance.
