For some reasons, people tend to choose rice than tubers. Of course it is personal choice, but maybe tubers is just like an old-fashion food for some people or maybe because rice has been the main source of carbohydrate they usually serve on dinner table. The truth is, tubers also contain of carbohydrate which even have healthier fibers than rice. Cassava and sweet potatoes are the examples. People should comprehend that rice contains of massive energy and its fiber are low. Meanwhile, tubers prove to be healthier because they come with high fibers. If people who consume rice with massive energy or calorie don’t balance the body condition by doing exercises or other physical activities, it may affect the body. The deposited calorie may trigger obesity or sugar content increase in the blood. |
