To create the more eco-friendly kitchen, it will be a good idea to use durable and water-resistant material for the kitchen counter tops and back-splashes. Specifically, non-toxic and natural pigments stained concrete is so much preferable than the surface-applied stains, whereas for the indigenous stone kitchen counter-tops you can make your choice from salvage sources.

For your kitchen flooring, there are many eco-friendly materials available like bamboo, eucalyptus, and cork. This way you can create more natural and fresh atmosphere. Besides, it is suggested for you to pick the well-designed windows, doors, and skylights that give sufficient light to your kitchen and you can save the electric bill as well. Speaking of lighting, you will have to select the energy-sufficient task lighting and low voltage systems to save more energy consumption.
