Many bakeries must already prepare everything to welcome the valentine day, including making special chocolate cake or chocolate servings to put in on the display. Although you can just buy chocolate and give it to someone special, you can actually use your creativity to cook the chocolate yourself.

You shouldn’t worry to fail the chocolate cooking because it is not hard to so, if only you use the right equipment. One of many kitchen utensils or equipment you found, make sure there is double boiler. With this boiler, the chocolate cooking will be a piece of cake.

Chocolate lovers should know how to cook chocolate properly without burning it. The useful kitchen equipment to melt chocolate perfectly is double boiler, whenever you intend to cook chocolate truffle, you should use this equipment. Double boiler has simple shape and usage, it helps you melt chocolate excellently with its special way.

For most people who often make cake or cook foods involving chocolate into the ingredients are commonly familiar with double boiler. The great thing from this boiler is besides melting the chocolate, it also prevents the chocolate from burnt. When you want to cook sauce or paste servings or cooked rice, this boiler would give best result.

Double boiler is different from other pans, although they have similar shape. There are two parts in double boiler, the big part and the small one. The bigger part has small indentation on the center its bottom, whereas the smaller one is shorter.

When using it, the bigger part is contained with water. The water surface should reach the bottom of the smaller part when it is located into the bigger pan. When you want to melt the chocolate, the chocolate is placed on this smaller part, as well as when you cook other ingredient like sauce or rice.

After placing the smaller part on the bigger pan, you can just place the double boiler on the stove and wait the water to boil. The steam produces from the boiling water will cook the foods slowly so there will be no chance for the foods to be burnt.

Melting chocolate using double boiler will give perfect result because the boiler is designed to keep the steaming water from splashing the chocolate. Moreover, the low temperature helps to melt the chocolate excellently.
