How to Make Delicious Crispy Curry Flour Shrimp PDF Print E-mail

When you are bored of the same recipes of seafood in your favorite restaurant, this would be the best time for you to try a new recipe and cook yourself at your kitchen. This weekend should be the best time to try this new recipe, another addition for your cooking experience.

One of the popular recipes many restaurants offer today is Crispy Curry Flour Shrimp. This is the new modification of cooking shrimp which also offers new taste. The cooking is not difficult because you can find simple instructions here. All you need to know is that the delicious taste is so overwhelming and unforgettable.

So, no need to wait any longer, just try it!


Ingredients:

 

  • 1 calamondin , take the juice
  • 2 eggs, beat
  • 0,5 tsp ground pepper
  • 0,5 tsp salt
  • 200 gr flour/rice powder


Seasoning:

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 tbsp margarine
  • 5 red peppers, slice thinly
  • 5 green peppers, slice thinly
  • 3 yolks, beat
  • 3 stems of curry leaves, tear
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp refined sugar
  • 7 tbsp quick-cooking oatmeal


Instructions:

  1. First off, remove the shrimp shells, let the tail, and clean it with water.
  2. Pour the calamondin juice and let it alone for 15 minutes.
  3. Mix the rice powder or wheat flour with salt together.
  4. Mix eggs, salt, and pepper, set aside.
  5. Dip the shrimp one by one into the mixture of egg, then into the mixture of flour.
  6. Fry the shrimp until the color changes reddish. Set aside


In the next step, you can prepare the seasoning and here are the instructions:

  1. Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and 4 tbsp margarine together until melting.
  2. Beat yolks and pour into the wok. Scramble it in circle motion until the fibers are produced.
  3. Put the red peppers, green peppers, sugar, salt, curry leave, and ground pepper into the wok. Mix them together, wait until you can smell the curry aroma.
  4. Add the shrimps and stir tenderly for about 2 minutes and let the seasoning absorbed.
  5. Add the oatmeal and keep stirring until the oatmeal changes color to yellow.
  6. Serve the Crispy Curry Flour Shrimp for six servings.


Note that it is better not to fry the shrimp too long because it hardens the textures. To heat the leftover, you can fry the shrimps again without oil or heat it in microwave or oven.
